There is a book titled “Big Panda and Tiny Dragon” by James Norbury. It is conversations between a panda and a dragon, but the one that got my attention mora than once was this:
“Which is more important,” asked Big Panda,
“The journey or the destination?”
“The company,” said Tiny Dragon.
It is almost shocking how much I can relate to this, word for word.
For many years, I thought life was different destinations that I have to get to. School, university, marriage, kids, work and …
Then after losing so much energy reaching destination after destination and not feeling fulfilled, for the past few years, I realized that the joy is in the journey. The moment by moment playful move forward.
We all have our own journeys, some go easy and some hard and most have a bit of both.
But you know what makes the journey enjoyable, enriched and fulfilling? The company.
And boy, I’ve had bad company and good company and no company.
As we all know that bad company hurts yet strengthens you, no company gives you a chance to evaluate and find yourself but good company lifts you, moves you and makes the journey worthwhile.
May you find great company in your journey.
May you be true to each other, last for one another and enjoy the journey together. Because as Simon Sinek says : “Together is better”
